Our second concert under the baton of Cornelis was performed in "one of the furthest
outposts of Britain" as Ivychurch was described by the Master of Ceremonies. It was a
gorgeous evening and it would have been nice to have performed outside. However, the
thunderflies put paid to any thoughts of doing that and, anyway, the acoustics in the
church (rightfully described as the Cathedral of the Romney Marsh) were wonderful and
helped the group lift their performance producing a quality concert. Annie Chesters added
to the overall effect by singing some delightful solos.
