Although the membership of the Consort is fairly constant - including some who have sung with the group for more than 20 years - there are occasionally vacancies for new singers. Essential requirements: good
sight-reading; wide and catholic singing experience; good `mixability'. Potential singers are usually invited to attend a concert as a member of the audience and then, if they wish to join, to attend rehearsals for a probationary period of around one month, although exceptions are sometimes made to these `rules'. There is currently a membership subscription of £60 a year to meet the costs of running the consort.
Rehearsals are held every Wednesday evening in the Music Room at Marlborough House School, Hawkhurst, Kent to whom we are very grateful.
