Rachmaninov Vespers at Cranbrook
The focus for this concert is Rachmaninov’s All-night Vigil, an intimate, meditative piece said to be among the composer’s favourites.
Premiered in Moscow in March 1915 as a war benefit, this extraordinary set of a cappella choral vespers for a four-part choir is full of complex harmonies; at one point in the seventh movement the choir is divided into 11 parts!

Summer concert with Hastings Philharmonic
A joint concert with Hastings Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir at Christ Church St Leonards.
Spring Concert
Wealden Consort will be performing at St George’s Church Benenden on Saturday 18th. The varied programme will include Haydn’s Little Organ Mass. Tickets —£15 including refreshments — will support the Friends of St George’s restoration and repair initiatives.
Cranbrook Concert
Our United in Harmony fund-raising concert marks the anniversary of the invasion of Ukraine. Please come along to support us — 3.30pm at St Dunstan's Church, Cranbrook. All profits raised will go towards humanitarian aid for Ukraine.
The programme includes Kim Andre Arnesen's Even When He Is Silent, an extraordinary piece about hope in the darkest time:

Christmas Concer
Get into the Christmas spirit with a rousing selection of carols and festive songs.
St Mary Magdelene Church in the pretty village of Ruckinge is a beautiful setting for our Christmas concert. This Grade 1 listed church dates back to Norman times, and its distinctive tower was rebuilt in the 13th Century. Sadly the roof was damaged in a recent storm, and considerable funds are now required to fix it. So the Church Roof Fund is the focus of our concert, and we will have a collection to contribute to its repair.
Advent Concert
Please join us for an uplifting programme of seasonal songs at St Mary’s Church Frittenden in aid of Maidstone Homeless Care Food Bank. This charity has been supporting homeless and vulnerable people in and around Maidstone for over 30 years, offering a 10-bed shelter in Maidstone as well as a food bank. Tickets are £10 and include interval refreshments.

We were delighted with the response to this concert. One highly experienced musician and choral director, who was in the audience, told us "Wow you are really good and make a terrific sound. Well done".
Another concert-goer wrote to oue of our tenor stalwarts, "What a wonderful evening! I felt as if I had been wrapped in a warm therapeutic blanket of song. How fortunate we are to be able to have such quality music in our church."
Platinum Jubilee Concert
A special concert at St Mary the Virgin, Rolvenden, to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, marking 70 years of service to the people of the United Kingdom, the Realms and the Commonwealth.
Concert with the Cranbrook Town Band
We’re joining with the Cranbrook Town Band in an April concert at St Dunstan’s Church, Cranbrook. Expect an exciting programme of both sacred and secular music from our 20+-strong choir accompanied by some 30 brass players, performing in the town’s beautiful 14th Century church, called the Cathedral of the Weald.
