Christmas Concert

  • St Mary Magdalene Church, Ruckinge (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Get into the Christmas spirit with a rousing selection of carols and festive songs.

St Mary Magdelene Church in the pretty village of Ruckinge is a beautiful setting for our Christmas concert. This Grade 1 listed church dates back to Norman times, and its distinctive tower was rebuilt in the 13th Century. Sadly the roof was damaged in a recent storm, and considerable funds are now required to fix it. So the Church Roof Fund is the focus of our concert, and we will have a collection to contribute to its repair.

We were delighted with the response to this concert. One highly experienced musician and choral director, who was in the audience, told us "Wow you are really good and make a terrific sound. Well done".

Another concert-goer wrote to oue of our tenor stalwarts, "What a wonderful evening! I felt as if I had been wrapped in a warm therapeutic blanket of song. How fortunate we are to be able to have such quality music in our church."
